Jojo, een veerkrachtige kat met één oog, kwam eind juli ter wereld. Hij stond al vroeg voor uitdagingen toen hij als piepkleine kat van 1,5 maand werd ontdekt onder een auto in een drukke straat. Ondanks het vechten tegen en het overwinnen van panleukopenie, is deze moedige vechter uitgegroeid tot een pittige jongen. Met vertederende kwaliteiten zoals een knuffelige aard, speelse geest, constant spinnen en een voorliefde voor het tonen van genegenheid door handen en haren te likken, strekt Jojo's grenzeloze liefde zich niet alleen uit naar katten, maar naar alle wezens om hem heen. Jojo staat bekend om zijn donderende gespin en verblijft momenteel in Vurste samen met zijn pleegkat en hond broers en zussen, waar zijn dapperheid en liefde voor eten, gezelschap en speeltijd doorschemeren.
Dio daarentegen, geboren in september 2022, kwam voort uit een beproeving op een parkeerplaats die tragisch genoeg het leven kostte aan zijn broertje en zusje, waardoor hij werd gered om een soortgelijk lot af te wenden. Dio is nu een jaar oud en volledig gevaccineerd. Hij heeft een speelse maar gereserveerde houding en vertoont harmonieuze interacties met andere katachtigen. Hoewel hij een speels karakter heeft en goed kan socialiseren met andere katten, heeft Dio tot nu toe weinig interesse getoond in menselijke interactie en geeft hij de voorkeur aan spelen boven knuffelen. Ondanks zijn huidige karakter heeft de transformerende kracht van een liefdevol en verzorgend thuis de potentie om Dio's toekomst vorm te geven en hoop te bieden op een positieve verandering in zijn kijk op menselijke affectie.

Onze katten worden als binnenkatten geplaatst, maar voor sommige katten is het wenselijk dat ze een (afgeschermde) buitenruimte hebben. Dit is per kat verschillend. Jonge, speelse katten plaatsen we liever samen met een andere jonge kat, of in een huis waar al een kat is.
Nala’s Friends is een Belgische non-profit organisatie die straatkatten- en honden helpt. Wij werken samen met door ons geselecteerde, goede asielen in Griekenland, Roemenië, Montenegro en Servië. We helpen hen financieel en zoeken naar gouden mandjes voor de katten en honden in deze asielen. Dit is helaas hard nodig. Voor meer informatie, neemt u gerust contact met ons op!

Known for his thunderous purr, Jojo currently resides in Vurste alongside his foster cat and dog siblings, where his bravery and love for food, companionship, and playtime shine through.
In contrast, Dio, born in September 2022, emerged from a parking lot ordeal that tragically claimed the life of his sibling, prompting his rescue to avert a similar fate. Now a year old and fully vaccinated, Dio showcases a playful yet reserved demeanor, displaying harmonious interactions with fellow felines. While he exhibits a playful nature and socializes well with other cats, Dio has thus far shown minimal interest in human interaction, preferring play over cuddles. Despite his current disposition, the transformative power of a loving and nurturing home holds the potential to shape Dio's future, offering hope for a positive shift in his outlook towards human affection.

Nala’s Friends is a Belgian non-profit organization that helps street cats and dogs. We work with carefully selected shelters in Greece, Montenegro, and Serbia. We provide them with financial assistance and seek loving homes for the cats and dogs in these shelters. Unfortunately, this is much needed.
